About me
Who I Am in a Nutshell
I'm a Luiss University graduate with highest honours in Management & Computer Science, passionate about technology and aiming to lead innovative tech projects. I have a great interest for all things data and am always keen on keeping abreast of new AI advancements. I'm always looking for new challenges, especially in the fields of Machine Learning, Big Data Management, and Cloud Computing. I'm also eager to explore emerging areas like Quantum Computing, Augmented Reality, and Robotics.
Current Work
Currently, I'm working as a Data Engineer - Product Analytics at Bloomberg, a role where I apply all-things data best practices, spanning from data engineering to advanced data analytics to optimize the quality and coverage of Energy and commodities financial data, which is vast and extremely diverse.
Expertise
My main expertise lies in Machine Learning, Data Architecture, Engineering, and Analytics. I have worked on several projects, including Natural Language Processing, Time Series Analysis, Customer Segmentation, Logistics Optimization, and Predictive Analytics across various domains, as well as Social Network Analysis. Additionally, I have experience in Big Data Management and Cloud Computing, particularly with AWS, GCP, Databricks, and PySpark.
Recently, I have been exploring Retrieval-Augmented Generation and dense retrieval techniques to reduce LLM hallucinations, as well as learning more about Data Engineering and Data Architecture tools.
Personal Interests
Outside of my professional and academic life, I love cycling and enjoy going to the gym (miserably failing to become a calisthenics beast ); I have also been playing professional and amateur football for quite a long time!
As of my personal traits, I love sharing knowledge and experiences with others. I'm a strong cosmopolitan and a true believer in the power of diversity and inclusion, having lived in three different countries and speaking three languages fluently while learning a fourth one.
Further Interests
I am also interested in Finance, Business, and politics. As a member of Starting Finance Guido Carli, a University Finance Society, I served for almost 2 years as a recruiter and an active part of the HR Department, guiding over 150+ members in their career paths by organizing workshops, webinars, and networking events with top-tier professionals, as well as recruiting and building internal teams.
Happy to have you here, let's connect and share our experiences! Check out my blog to read more about my projects and thoughts! 😊
